Real time vehicle traffic data company Inrix was raised $ 37 million in series d funding led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers Green Growth Fund & and August capital. Thus, Inrix in financing of almost 70 million dollars. POST Funding, Inrix score – just shy of $ 500 million.

Inrix aggregates and crowdsources real-time traffic information from more than 10 million spurces, including cars, taxis, transportation, trucks, and other channels, Inrix data software units and increases the traffic information from hundreds of public and private sources and then sells this information for developers of mobile applications and Web sites.

Currently the company offers data for 22 countries across North America and Europe and reaches more than 100 million users. Inrix's partners include Audi, ADAC, ANWB, ALKEN, Coyote, Ford Motor Company-95 Coalition, MapQuest, Microsoft, NAVIGON, Tele Atlas, Telmap Navigator, TeleNav, Texas Transportation Institute and Toyota.

For example, Audi, and Toyota use Inrix traffic services in their cars, beginning with the new Audi A6 in Europe and are equipped with Toyota's Prius and Camry Entune V in North America. Inrix is currently powers Ford SYNC traffic and navigation services.

Inrix traffic also offers applications for the iPhone and Android platforms, which saw 1.5 million downloads. The company also white label application traffic for Ford, Navigon and pioneer. And Inrix partners with the United States and European regional transportation agencies help manage their road networks and to provide information to the public, and much more.

All of these partnerships and licensing agreements, Inrix, who is a profitable, growing income of almost 100 per cent year-over-year. Bryan Mistele, CEO of the company told us that his goal is "to be Google traffic info".

Mistele said that the company does not necessarily need to raise money, but decided that cash flow will help scale Inrix to the next level. New investments will be used to purchase fuel efforts continued global expansion and research and development.

Inrix, Inc. offers real-time, historical and predictive traffic information solutions. It provides services such as INRIX connected services, a set of content services navigation OEMs and location-based services.
